A Good Tired

Today was one of those days full of activity and tired when it was all over, yet filled with that which was thoroughly enjoyable things. Sometimes events can overwhelm, especially when you don’t know how all of the details will work out. Other times you can have such a peace about the events that you can leave some of the other stuff for later, and amazingly enough the later seems to be taken care of. Our God is pretty amazing that way.

Today was a baby shower for Lydia which Robin and Lydia’s mom, Mary, worked together to put together with each having their own incredible help by their side at the most critical times. The shower was a great success and now Tommy and Lydia just need to figure out how to squeeze everything into their vehicle to come home.

Also able to come down were Hannah, her mom, and her two precious daughters (Katie and Madeline) It was so nice to be able to see them after the shower and to hold our newest grandbaby and see her beautiful blue eyes and to watch Katie have so much fun.

While the shower was happening I got to go to lunch and bowling with the guys, and then to dinner with both families. All of this, and the details and even the provision all worked themselves out. Sarah talks today about finding light in turbulence. Today was a good reminder.

Today by “Jesus Calling” by Sarah Young (3/9)

Rest in My radiant presence. The world around you seems to spin faster and faster, till everything is a blur. Yet there is a cushion of calm at the center of your life, where you live in union with Me. Return to the soothing Center as often as you can, for this is where you are energized: filled with My Love, Joy, and Peace.

The world is a needy place; do not go there for sustenance. Instead, come to Me. Learn to depend on Me alone, and your weakness will become saturated with My Power. When you find your completeness in Me, you can help other people without using them to me your own needs. Live in the Light of My Presence, and your light will shine brightly into the lives of others.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness. Galatians 5:22

No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us. 1 John 4:12
